Pugs of the Frozen North
Philip Reeve (, Devon, England), Sarah McIntyre (, London, England)
Reeve and McIntyre bring you another rip-roaring read!
The Race to the Top of the World! It comes around once in a lifetime, and the prize? Your heart’s desire. Shen and Sika can’t resist the chance to win, but competition is fierce. The path to victory is littered with snow trolls, sea monsters, and a gang of particularly hungry yetis. But Shen and Sika have something the other contestants don’t have. Actually, they have 66 other things; pugs to be exact. That’s a 264 paw-powered sled!
Bursting with stunning illustration throughout, this is a book not to be missed!

Shen and Sika live at Po of ice (a post office with missing letters on its sign!). One day they entered a race to the top of the world. In the race they fight lost sailors turned into white, furry yetis. They also jumped over snow trolls on top of each other. Then they met the snowfather. I like the book because it is exciting. I recommend this book for years 3 and 4.

The book is about a race to the North Pole. The main characters are a boy called Shen, a girl called Sika, and 66 dogs who are racing against a scientist called Shackleton Jones, two women called Helga Hammerfest and Mitzi von Primm. It has some quite funny parts but it is mainly an adventure story.

I liked pugs of the frozen north, my favourite part was at the start of the story when the pugs jumped out the bag and going crazy jumping around everywhere and it made me laugh!I would recommend it to others as it's very enjoyable.
