Harper Lee has a worthy successor. Wolk is a big new talent – The Times

Annabelle has lived in Wolf Hollow all her life: a quiet place, still scarred by two world wars. But when cruel, manipulative Betty arrives in town, Annabelle’s calm world is shattered, along with everything she’s ever known about right and wrong.

When Betty disappears, suspicion falls on strange, gentle loner Toby. As Wolf Hollow turns against him, and tensions quickly mount, Annabelle must do everything in her power to protect Toby – and to find Betty, before it is too late.

Powerful, poignant and lyrical, Wolf Hollow is an unforgettable story.

I am so glad that I read this book. My favourite character was Toby because he was so brave in listening to Annabelle, even when he wasn't sure what to do.

I would recommend this fiction book as it is about how not to judge a book by it's cover and that you actually have to know a person before you can judge them.

This fictional book, which is set in WW2, is quite a mysterious (and in some parts quite an emotional) book ; it has lots of twists and turns. I'm quite sure that anyone in junior school would find this book appealing and I certainly recommend it.

The book Wold Hollow is an emotional intense middle grade debut from author and poet Lauren Will that will get kids thinking about compassion, justice, the importance of speaking out, and how to judge someone’s character. Protagonist Annabelle aged 11 deals with psychopathic bully and a sense of dread is pervasive.

Wolf hollow is a great book for 12 plus. It can be quite scary and involves some violent behaviour but is very interesting. A man who was a hero in World War One is accused of murdering a girl and throwing a stone at another girl and taking her eye out. This ends up to be not true but he still gets shot. A great fiction book.
