Read the HILARIOUS books that inspired the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON films!

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is a smallish Viking with a longish name. Hiccup’s father is chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe which means Hiccup is the Hope and the Heir to the Hairy Hooligan throne – but most of the time Hiccup feels like a very ordinary boy, finding it hard to be a Hero.

It is the Doomsday of Yule. At the end of this day, either the humans or the dragons will face extinction. Alvin the Treacherous is about to be crowned the King of the Wilderwest on the island of Tomorrow. His reign of terror will begin with the destruction of dragons everywhere.

The fate of the dragon world lies in the hands of one young boy: Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third. If Hiccup can’t beat Alvin the Treacherous then the entire human AND dragon race will become extinct. The time has come to prove himself, once and for all. Will Hiccup – with the help of his friends Fishlegs, Camicazi and Toothless the dragon – finally be crowned KING? And will the dragons survive?

How to Train Your Dragon is now a major DreamWorks franchise starring Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett and Jonah Hill and the TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

Dragon Furious was by far my favourite. I was interested by previous books to complete the storyline. Yes I would recommend it to everyone.

/spoiler I like where we figure out there are 3 Hiccups which each have a gigantic sea dragon which each have a cross over their heart they got from trying to save their master

I loved the part where hiccup kept on persuading the dragon furious to call off the rebellion, as there was a sneaky trick with Alvin and the witch. I found the saddest part of the book was where furious got stabbed by a poisoned blade. I have really enjoyed the collection. I wonder what I will read next…

It was very interesting and I really enjoyed it because the hero realised it was a fake dragon jewel so how is he going to stop the rebellion. I would recommend the whole series to everyone that likes dragon and adventure.

This is an emotional roller coaster, full of sadness, mourning, fright and ultimately triumph. The last of Hiccup's memoirs, this is one of my favorite books in the series! I couldn't put it down!

This book is when Hiccup (the hero of the story) loses his memory at Hero's End. It was a good book. I love the books and it was fun to find out the next story!

I like this. One of the reasons is it has funny chapter names like A very short chapter that begins well and ends badly

My favourite character is Toothless because he is cheeky! No wonder Hiccup is often mad with him. My Year 2 teacher introduced me to the first book and also the Day of the Dreader, so then I had to read them all! I love these books so much and have already recommended them to my Mum and Dad!

This book actually got quite creepy like when Alvin the Treacherous tried to destroy the Dragons with the Dragon's jewel from the 10th book. I favourite part was when the dragon rebellion ended because it was when dragons and humans stopped fighting.

Sergeant Gonzo Legend 29.08.2020

I thought this book was amazing!!! I thought the book had a happy ending. I think the Dragon Jewel will be safe for now. My favourite character was Hiccup. I would recommend this book to kids my age [ which is 9 or 10]. This is the last book off 'How to Train your Dragon'.
