This engaging and comical story with its unusual hero, will delight young children of around 3 to 7 years of age. Meffy the flea may be small, but he has big ideas. He longs for a more adventurous life and bravely sets out with his backpack. Go with him on his journey, and laugh at Neil Chapman’s hilarious illustrations. In the end, little Meffy learns that friends are more important than living like a king.

My favourite character was Meffy. He was very very nice and I liked him because he bit the king's hand and he remembered he had to make the king laugh and he juggled with the food and that made me laugh.
