Rover and the Big Fat Baby
Roddy Doyle
The BFB (Big Fat Baby) is missing! Can Rover the wonder dog and his little nephew Messi (who is actually very tidy) track her down? While Rover and co. are hot on the trail of the BFB, via Granny Mack’s backpack, the post lady’s basket and a plane bound for Africa, it looks like the Gigglers are about to run out of poo …And without an urgent delivery from Rover, how will they be able to give the Giggler Treatment to grumpy adults and help kids all over the country? Rover returns in a brand-new adventure in the bestselling series by Booker Prize-winner Roddy Doyle.
Reviews

It is quite good but very funny. It is about a dog that can talk and it tells you that when you are young you know that dogs can talk but you forget when you grow up. It is also about an adventure about the owners of Rovers baby. It is very good for younger readers.

I read the giggles treatment a while ago and really enjoyed it so I thought that I would read this one to, to see if it was as good and it was

It was a very funny book. My favourite character was the big fat baby because her name was Emily just like me. I thought it was amusing when Messi had to shout messy words to stop his tail wagging and falling over!

I couldn't put it down! It was amazing. All the characters are great and it is really funny about a dog with a tail longer than him.

My favourite person was Emily (the big fat baby) because all she ever said was ‘goop’ but near the end when she went to college all she said was ‘like, goop!’.I would recommend this book to people who love funny books and ones involving things that parents might find a bit rude such as poos!!! If I were to recommend this to a certain age group I would choose the ages of 7-10 year olds.

This was a very funny and crazy book about a dog called Rover and his young nephew, Messi and the BFB (Big Fat Baby). Rover and Messi and the family are on a quest to find the BFB and find some poo, that's right, I said it, they are looking for poo. My favourite character is Messi, despite his name, Messi absolutely hates dirt and anything that is slightly messy. My favourite part is when the BFB is flying through the air then lands in her granny's arms. This is a great book and it will make you laugh out loud! Great for all ages!

Roddy Doyle always writes amazing books, including this one. I couldn't put it down and it was so funny but also strange in a very good way. This is probably one of the best books I've ever read!!!
