Reviews

I really liked this book because Merry goes back in time to Henry VIII's tudor court. It was an exciting story.

A very exciting book in a setting that gives your imagination plenty of room to enjoy. Merry Owen is 15, homeschooled, and lives in a farm in the Welsh mountains, in the shadow of the imposing Black Castle. The inhabitants of the castle are the De Courcy family, who have been the Owens' arch enemies for centuries. After Merry's family runs short of money, they threaten to take their farm, so Merry is delighted when she finds a valuable medieval book buried the woods. She hopes to sell it to a museum to pay off her family's debts, but the book seems to have other ideas. If you like time-travel and action, this is a great book. My only complaint is that sometimes the plot hasn't been completely thought through and is a bit rushed at the end.

This is an amazing book! I've read it twice and I will read it again! And again! And again! The main characters Merry and James are really cleverly created in your mind and you feel like you are there with them. The story sticks in your mind and after reading it you can't forget about the adventures in it. I think that everyone should read it, no matter who you are and I'd rate it 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/ 10! it's that good!
