Bruno doesn’t like his new house. He had to leave all his friends behind in Berlin, and there are no children to play with here – until Bruno meets Shmuel, a boy who lives on the other side of the wire fence near Bruno’s house, and who wears a strange uniform of striped pyjamas.

A stunning anniversary edition of John Boyne’s powerful classic bestseller, with illustrations from award-winning artist Oliver Jeffers.

This book is fascinating and I love it. It is the story of an oblibvious nine year old boy named Bruno who lives in Berlin during the time of world war two. But due to his dads job as a german Nazis soldier he has to move from his luxurious home in Berlin to a desolate house in the German countryside where he has no one to play with and nothing to do. During this he makes a special bond with a boy named Shmuel who lives on the oppposite side of a strange parllel fence who like the other people om that side wears striped pyjamas. This book is great it takes you through an amazing journey through friendship , anger, sacrifice and mouch more there is even a film to watch after you read.
