I liked when his dad went missing and they couldn't find him because they thought he ran away or something like that, that's why I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book for people who love adventure and action stories.

I thought the book was very interesting.The book tells a story about a boy called Darkus and some other kids who were bulying him.They had a conversation and an argument which led into a fight. While they fought Darkus found a beetle and he named it Baxter. He was a special kind of beetle, It is a rinosaurous beetle with a big , long horn . The story is about to get creepy… Find out yourself! I really think it’s factual . It interested me because there are lots of mysteries. I would definitely recommend this book to all my friends.

This is a book about a boy who stumbles across a beetle but he doesnt realise the chain of events that will occur. It was a fiction book and is the first in the series. Reading this book will give you a wider interest in animals but is also about the bond between friends. I would recommend this to insect lovers or anyone who would enjoy reading about beetles.

I thought that it was amazing! I would describe it as adventurous for Darkus to rescue his father with his friends and his uncle, also I would describe it as a detective book because he is trying to solve the mystery of his fathers disappearance and Baxter (The Beetle) helps him. I can't wait for the next one!
