I would defiantly recommend this historical fiction book to all readers who love an adventure. In this book Lucan runs away and hides when he sees the Romans coming to invade his home village. Unluckily for the young Celt he hides in a Roman wagon and becomes a slave. Luckily he does become freed from slavery and is adopted by a caring Roman family. Read this book to find out what Roman life is like and how it is different from the Celtic life Lucan is use to. Is it better or worse for him?... Although this is a fiction story it is based olden day England and contains some real life facts which are explained at the back of the book. Great for learning whilst enjoy a story.
