The Boy Who Could Do What He Liked
David Baddiel
Written especially for WBD 2016, this is a fabulously entertaining and touching novella from David Baddiel, author of the bestselling THE PARENT AGENCY and THE PERSON CONTROLLER.
Illustrated by the hugely talented Jim Field, winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize.Reviews

This book was about a boy doing things that no one has ever seen or done in their lives. My favourite character was the boy because he was really imaginative and all of a sudden, his imagination came to life. I would recommend this book to people who have a big imagination and like their ideas.

I normally really like David Baddiel, but I suppose this book was too short for me.

I liked the book. My favourite bit was when the talking dolphin came out of the bathtub. The ending was good. I would recommend it to someone else.

I liked the babysitter. She was very old and very clumsy, but also really fun with the boy. She let him do whatever he liked. I would definitely recommend it.

This was a very funny quick read as it was released for World Book Day. I thought Mrs Stokes was a funny character because she was very hard of hearing and kept getting words wrong, like ‘poo team’ instead of ‘routine’!
Lord Crocodile Windchime 05.10.2021

I though it was a great book.It was about a boy who's baby sitter has gone away and the boy find the phone number of a magical babysitter who makes his schedule much more fun.I like miss strokes as she was funny because she was deaf.
