Beswitched
Kate Saunders
When Flora Fox’s parents send their daughter off to boarding school,
they have no idea that the train will take her back to 1935.
On the journey Flora has a strange dream. She wakes up without
her laptop or her phone, wearing a hideous uniform with ridiculous
bloomers underneath. She is a new girl at St Winifred’s, where
the rules are mad, the food horrible, and the hairiness of the teachers
unbelievable. Her 21st century manners will not be tolerated
at strict St Win’s – how will she ever survive and find her
way back to her own time? But there is a special reason why Flora
has been summoned to the past. It involves the tempestuous girl
who becomes her best friend… BESWITCHED is a wonderfully funny,
classic story from a popular and very talented children’s author.

A great book, flora fox is a determined inquisitive character who gets transported back in time to st Winifred's boarding school in 1935. Would totally recommend to anyone who likes A pinch of magic.

It’s exciting as she goes back in the past and you don’t know how or if she will ever get back.

Beswitched is a brilliant book by Kate Saunders. It is a fiction book and my favourite character is Flora who the book is about! The other main characters are Pete (who is actually called Daphne but almost everyone calls her Pete because her last name is Peterson), Pogo(who’s actually called Cecilia Lawrence but they call her Pogo because she was nicknamed it her when she was a baby) and Dulcie Latimer (who’s just called Dulcie). It’s very interesting as It’s about a boarding school in the 20th century. I would deffinately recommend Beswitched to anyone who likes to sit and read because when you’ve started it you’ve got to finish it. This book is magic and adventurous in a way!
