I would recommend this book for younger readers but it is not as funny as I thought. my favourite character is Maxwell mutt because of his determination.

I really enjoyed this book because it was about friendship and fun I love any books about a dog and it was all about a little puppy trying to find his friend called Paisley after they got swept away by the river I would recommend to friends who love dogs

When Maxwell gets separated from a friend, can he get some help and dodge the stalking cats to get her back? This is a book full of football, dustbins, adventure and dogs. It is a fantastically tense book with ups and downs wherever you look. My favourite character is Maxwell because he is brave. I would recommend the book to 6-8 year olds.

I thought this was a good book because it had lots of dogs, which I love, and it's a mysterious story! My favourite character is called Mr B, he's a bulldog. He's very funny, every time someone makes a mess, even the tiniest bit of mess, he rushes over and says "golly gosh, stop making mess"! I would recommend this book as it's very funny, I think all my friends would enjoy it.

I thought the story, Maxwell Mutt, was going to be a serious cartoon, but no. Maxwell Mutt and the down town dogs is a cheeky novel for both younger and older boys/girls.

Hi, I just read maxwell mutt and the downtown dogs book! I would recommend it. The start is emotional, I wouldn't like tears taking me all the way to the Atlantic Ocean! I hope other kids read this book!
