JOURNEY TO THE EDGE OF MAGIC If magic has a beginning, can it also have an end? When Amelia wants a wish to come true she knows just the man to ask - Father Christmas. But the magic she wants to believe in is starting to fade, and Father Christmas has more than impossible wishes to worry about. Upset elves, reindeer dropping out of the sky, angry trolls and the chance that Christmas might be cancelled. But Amelia isn't just any ordinary girl. And - as Father Christmas is going to find out - if Christmas is going to be saved, he might not be able to do it alone . . .

I like little Mim because he is funny and and kind! It interested me because it also tells you how workhouse children got treated as well as telling me a story. I didn’t like Mr Creeper because he is horrible and mean .

I thought it was quite weird in a good way, if it was fiction my favourite character is Santa himself.if it was factual the part that interested me was that the elf children got to chose a toy from Santas workshop when he was finished loading all the toys into the sack.

My favourite character in the book is Amelia because she is a chimney sweep. I like looking back to the Victorian era when the story was set. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Christmas and the Victorian era.

I didn't like the people from the workhouse! I would recommend it to my friends. I loved meeting Nicholas, but in the future. I'm glad Mary also got a nice ending. the elfs were very nice.

I actually rate it 100. it is the best book i have ever read and i would recommend it to everyone. i read it many times thats how good it is. it is about a young girl whose mother had died and she had to go to mr Creepers house. She remembers about 2 years ago when father Christmas had arrived. Then one Chirstmas, Santa came and rescued her and Mary but also had to rescue little mim and noosh the elves from the trolls but santa nearly gets eaten but then amelia comes and told santa there is magic in the air if you believe then Mary comes but the cave starts falling and mary gets hit so santa stops time and puts drimwickery on her and then the trolls get calm cause they realise the the story pixies were wispering to them ....

It’s very sad but you also feel heartwarming because of the ending.

It was really good. It was a bit sad as Amelia Wishart didn’t have Christmas with her mum or dad as they both died. She spends Christmas with Father Christmas. She saves Christmas because mr creeper who looked after her said she could not have Christmas with him and put her in a dungeon. She escapes and helps fix Father Christmas’ sleigh so can do his job.

My favourite character was the girl who kept believing in Christmas so people could still receive presents and so Santa and the reindeers could fly and the Christmas magic would stay. I do recommend this book to others because it is very good to read and I think other people would really like it.

This book was full of magic. It told me about the struggling life of Amelia Wishart and how she made it so much better by believing in magic. It was a book that I couldn't resist and couldn't put down. My favourite character was Mary as she would do anything to save Amelia and make the workhouse a little bit more cheerful. I would reccomened it to anyone who likes a happy ending of a magical and sorrowful book.
