I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under 10 yo because it has some difficult words in it. The story is interesting , it’s an about a baby black horse .

I liked some parts of Black Beauty but others were boring and very hard to understand. My favourite character was Black Beauty as she could cope with anything and was a very polite , king and interesting character as she had been raised extremely well. I would recommend it to people who like changes and people who constantly like going somewhere different and having adventures as this book was a mix of all those things.

This was a wonderful book, detailing a horse's life, from Black Beauty's kind, loving owners, to the cruel drivers. My favourite character was Ginger. This was due to Ginger's interesting story and personality. I would recommend this book to all animal-lovers.

This book is a heart touching and beautiful tale about a young horse that is born in a farm and is sold and bought by many people . Some of which treat him badly. This is a nice book because Anna Sewell has described every little detail.In some parts she was able to fit in some pathetic fallacy which compared very well with Black Beauty’s feelings.

I listened to this as an audiobook. I like it because I think it is nice to hear the story from a horse instead of a human. It was good to hear about lots of different owners and that some were good and sadly some were unkind.

We listened to this as an audiobook. I liked that the story was told by the horse. It was very sad sometimes but I was glad that Black Beauty found Joe again and lived peacefully after.

This was a very sad story. This story made me wish that horses were better treated. I liked Black Beauty because he will always think positively about things and always try his best. I would recommend this to somone else because it shows the view of perspective of horses.

A truly heart-breaking tale of sorrow and neglect. Black Beauty, a stunning horse who grows up happy has to learn that not all masters give kind words and treatment. Anna's appreciation of these charming creatures has shown massively in this book as we follow Beauty, along with Ginger, Merrylegs, Sir Oliver and more on his journey through life.
