Poppy Pym and the Double Jinx
Laura Wood
The second book in the prize winning mystery series. It’s Halloween at Saint Smithen’s. When the Brimwell town hall burns down, the amateur production of Macbeth is moved to the school and it’s all hands on deck. But when the play is struck by a series of mysterious attacks, it’s up to Poppy, her friends and her circus family to save the play and unmask the culprit. Perfect for younger fans of A Murder Most Unladylike and older Enid Blyton stories The first book was the winner of the Montegrappa Scholastic New Children’s writing Prize (2015), chosen from almost 1,000 entries Exciting, funny and adventurous, Poppy Pym blends a classic boarding school story with a quirky circus family and a thrilling smuggling mystery

This book is a murder mystery. My favourite part was when Poppy finds a dagger dripping with blood! I really liked Poppy because she is very good at solving mysteries and finding out who's the criminal. I would recommend this book so someone else because it's a brilliant read.
