Harper and the Circus of Dreams
Laura Ellen Anderson, Cerrie Burnell
A beautifully written, lyrical tale featuring a cast of funny and
loveable characters, created by CBeebies’ presenter Cerrie Burnell
and stunningly illustrated by Laura Ellen Anderson. Late one evening
as the stars begin to twinkle, Harper and her friends are
flying on the scarlet umbrella when they see a girl running on air,
skipping along a tightrope. She leads them to the Circus of Dreams,
suspended in the air by hot air balloons. As the children meet
the mermaid acrobat, the spectacular circus baker, the mysterious
fortune teller and the acrobatics troop, they begin to realise
something about Harper’s past…
Reviews

I loved Harper the most because she reacted in every way to reach her parents who couldn't see her as they were in the circus of dreams. The book interested me because it was adventurous and had a mystery involved inside this adventure of the book. I would recommend that any child 5 to 10 would enjoy this book as much as I do. In the book, Harper sees a girl called Skylar and she looked as if she was dancing in the sky but actually she was performing in the circus of dreams.

I really liked this book. Harper can play every instrument she wants and is very musical. The 4 children find Harmony’s mother and father. Harmony was sent down to Earth when she was a baby and she finds out her true magical instrument which is a harp. When she plays it she call her parents down from the circus.
