Nia is disappointed when she is given the part of the Cowardly Lion
in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. Snooty Jade Miller
will play the main part, Dorothy – the role Nia wanted.

But when her parents bring home naughty kitten Pearl, Nia certainly has her hands full! She decides to enter Pearl in a local cat competition – only to find that the judge is Jade’s mum, who only seems to like the poshest of pedigree cats – can Pearl still triumph? And will Nia find that she’ll love playing a lion – and could even be the star of the show?

I liked it. A high school girl is disappointed because she didn't get the part she wanted in a school play, but is happy because she gets a kitten and calls her Pearl.

I liked thia book because when pearl (the cat) jumped into the bath water that was quite funny. And they won an award at the cat show too.

I really loved reading this fictional book. The kitten (Pearl) is soooooo adorable. I also like that there is multiple problems. This book caught my eye because it is about a girl who gets a cat and I love cats.I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animals or someone who is just a bit bored.

I loved this book! Nia and her sister Kayla got a kitten called Pearl. Pearl was a troublemaking kitten! It was a fun story to read.

I like this book because it's an adventurous book and I wanna tell a few things about it. 1. Main characters: mum, dad, granny, Nia, Pearl (Nia's cat(grey and white)), Charlotte (Nia's best friend) 2. Nia wanted to put Pearl in a cat competition near her but the nearest cat competition is next to Birmingham. 3. They went to the vet and there was a poster of a cat competition next to her neighbourhood. 4. At the competition, Pearl won!
