It's a really good book but there are some questionable words in it. I really like the adventure and the characters. My favourite is James and the Old Green Grasshopper. My least favourite is the centipede because he is quite rude. I also like the word size.

At first I was scared of the ugly ladies who don't really treat James well. But then when they roll down the hill and the car gets squashed, it made me laugh lots. I like the descriptions of all the insects that James travels with... Even the spider sounds cool. My mum puts on funny voices which makes it even better. We read this book so quickly, I was surprised with the ending. But in a good way.

This book is written by the same person who wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory. I love how James made all his dreams come true with the magic beans. His mum and dad went to heaven like my grandma went there too. I love how he got away from his horrible aunts.

I would recommend this book but it’s not the best one by Roald Dahl. My favourite part of the story was the ending when I read what all their new jobs were. I also liked that James had a little hut inside the peach stone.

I like how they pull the peach out of water while sharks were surrounding it and how they used the sea gulls. Very instresting book
