James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl in magnificent full colour.

""Bigger and bigger grew the peach, bigger and bigger and BIGGER.""

James Henry Trotter is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

James lives his awful Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker, two of the meanest people you can imagine.

Life isn’t much fun at all, until something peculiar happens at the bottom of his garden . . .

A peach at the very top of a tree begins to grow . . . and grow . . . and GROW! Inside are seven very unusual insects – all waiting to take James on a magical journey.

It was interesting because it had ginormous bugs and I wanted to eat the peach which sounded sweet and nice tasty

At first I was scared of the ugly ladies who don't really treat James well. But then when they roll down the hill and the car gets squashed, it made me laugh lots. I like the descriptions of all the insects that James travels with... Even the spider sounds cool. My mum puts on funny voices which makes it even better. We read this book so quickly, I was surprised with the ending. But in a good way.

It was fiction and it was a good book. It’s not the best Road Dahl book I read but I liked it.

This book is written by the same person who wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory. I love how James made all his dreams come true with the magic beans. His mum and dad went to heaven like my grandma went there too. I love how he got away from his horrible aunts.

This story is about a boy who had lost his parents and then went to an adventure with animals. The person I like The most was James, because he was very brave. I would recommend this book to someone else.

I would recommend this book but it’s not the best one by Roald Dahl. My favourite part of the story was the ending when I read what all their new jobs were. I also liked that James had a little hut inside the peach stone.

I found it fun because James with friendships with beetles who lived inside the peach and when they were in there, the peach started rolling and they went rolling with it.

This is a fiction book. My favourite character is Mrs Spider because she is very polite and she does things for others even if she doesn't want to.It is a bit factual and I learnt that you can tell a ladybird 's age by how many spots it has.I would recommend it to people from the age of 4 - 11 because it is very funny and every single word is chosen carefully to make the book perfect.
