A Dog's Life
Ann M. Martin
A moving animal story of survival and adventure, from the bestselling author of The Babysitters Club.
My name is Squirrel. I was born in a wheelbarrow.
There were five of us puppies in the beginning, but only my brother and I survived. So we set off on our own to see the world.
Life as a stray has been hard – but filled with adventure!
I’ve been adopted and I’ve been abandoned. I lost my brother, but found new friends. I’ve been in scrapes, but I always survived.
This is the story of my life.

Nice book to read.

This is a re-read but I still enjoyed it as much as I did first time Squirrel is my favourite character and I found it sad when Stream and later Moon died. I hope Bone found as nicer home as a Squirrel or Addie had with Susan. I didn’t like the Beckers.

This book is heart-warming and heart-gripping at the same time, with happy bits at the start to a couple of sad bits through the story to the happy ending.
