The book was about a grasshopper that was not working hard and giggles at the ants that are working hard storing food for the winter so they wouldn’t be hungry when in the cold, frosty weather so the ants work hard even through it was sunny day. The grasshopper was tease one of the ants persuading the ant to slow down as it hot and it’s a beautiful day but the ant didn’t stop as the ants know that summer will be over soon. The grasshopper through that the ants don’t know how to have fun and that he through that he has plenty of time to worry about food for winter. Which one day the winter has come, the snow fell but the ants kept cosy and warn and their store was full of food due to the hard work in the summer. But the grasshopper was shivering under a snowy leaf and he hasn’t eaten as much as one tiny seed since the snow had started to fall. The grasshopper began to beg at the two ants that came out for a walk for some food and the ant told the importance of collecting food in the summer for the winter and the grasshopper agreed and the ants gave some food to the grasshopper.

My favourite character is the grasshopper, I learnt that it is not good to sit around and let everyone else do all the work, I really enjoyed this book.

The grasshopper was silly and I think he would have died with no food to eat. I don't think ants would share with him really.

It was about a grasshopper he was lazy and didnt collect any food before the winter. The ants were my favourite. Yes I would tell my friends to read it its a long book and I like that.
