A lady took her dog to Hound Hotel. Alfie, Alfreeda and Mum tried to bath him after he got dirty but he wouldn't let them. The lady told everyone not to go to Hound Hotel because she didn't think they had tried to clean her dog. Afreeda pointed out that he had rolled in some fish and labradors love to collect fish as that's what labradors did in the past. The lady decided to stay one more night and pick Stanley up the next day. Alfie thought Stanley would have fun and let him bath him in the paddling pool. The lady was happy when she came to pick up Stanley. The best bit of the book was after they cleaned Stanley, Alfie sprayed him with rose perfume and Stanley sneezed. The book was very funny.
