The Witch's Vacuum Cleaner: And Other Stories
Terry Pratchett
Do you believe in magic?
Can you imagine a war between wizards, a rebellious ant called 4179003, or a time-travelling television?
Can you imagine that poor old Mr Swimble could see a mysterious vacuum cleaner in the morning, and make cheese sandwiches and yellow elephants magically appear by the afternoon?
Welcome to the wonderful world of Sir Terry Pratchett, and fourteen fantastically funny tales from the master storyteller. Bursting from these pages are food fights, pirates, bouncing rabbits and magical pigeons.
And a witch riding a vacuum cleaner, of course.

This was the first Terry Pratchett book I have read and I really enjoyed it. My favourite stories in this collection were The Witch’s Vacuum Cleaner and The Sheep Rodeo Scandal as they were very funny. I liked the policemen Bryan Bunyan and PC Gorsebush Jones who were in several stories.

My favourite story was the Blackbury Park statues. I would recommend the book to other people because it was funny.

My favourite story is "Rincemangle, the Gnome of Even Moor" because Rincemangle is my favourite character and he also saves all the other gnomes, and there are thousands and thousands of them.

I preferred Dragon's at Crumbling Castle to this book. This wasn't really funny at all which was disappointing!
