I really like this book because it is filled with action and adventure and is even really funny in some parts. In this story, there was a monster with a gigantic nose. It stole all the noses in the town - dwarf noses, toy noses etc. But the, the monster stole Simon's little sister (Ruby) and then Simon was on a mission to get her back before supper. Him and his best friend Whippet along with Lucy Shufflebottom searched the entire town until they found Ruby in the sewage. But getting her back wasn't as easy as pie. My favourite character was Simon with his majestic story-telling abilities. This is a book is would recommend to the most adventurous readers.

I did not enjoy this book. I didn’t enjoy the story about a boy called Simon who went to get a magazine and then went to see his friend. When he got there he was in a secret lab in his bedroom with locks on. A shadow stole Simon’s sister and they had to rescue her from the sewers. I wouldn’t recommend this book as it’s not my style.

I thought it was good because it used the comic names Freaky and Fearless as things that the characters acted like in the book.

This book is funny but weird and I liked that Simon's friends are so different to him and that he can hypnotise people with his stories. I definately think that you should be a boy to read this book. The pictures are very well drawn and add to the story.

I would recommend the book for ages 8 and above. You should read this book because it tells a tale of a thing that is not very nice! This tale of a boy just got a whole lot weirder. When his dad is not there, what will happen to this boy? Will he be haunted or will he be the hero? You will know if you read this fabulous book.
