I like this book because she thought there's nothing I can't be. She became a dancer, singer, actress, writer, teacher. Now she was speaking to the entire country, about her favourite thing: hope.

It's was a bit sad because of how people treated others because of the colour of their skin. It was fun to read too because it told us Maya life story and the things she did. I liked her brother because he kept her safe. Yes I would recommend this book to my friends.

I think this book is amazing because it shows what Maya did to change the way girls were treated, so she fought for women's rights, so everyone was treated equally. It doesn't matter what skin colour you have, we are all the same and shouldn't be treated differently. Maya shows that you should never give up if you go through hard times, she inspired many people with her beliefs that you can go anything. I would recommend reading this book about her.

This book was very interesting because it told me about how white people and black people were treated differently. Maya didn't speak for many years until a teacher helped her to read poetry. She became a famous poet and author.
