This is an amazing book and I would give it more stars if I could! I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It is set in the Victorian times and is part of the magical Venice series.

It was a bit scary because the Countess and Colette's father were possessed by the "all-powerful" mask Colette's dad made with magic.

I enjoyed this book a lot because it was very interesting and magical. My fave character is max - he hates his gift! I would recommend it to fans of magic and adventure.

The plot was interesting, and the characters lifelike. 'The mask maker's daughter' is full to the brim of plot twists, intrigue and, of course, magic. Set in the beautiful town of venice, this story shows Colette's journey from rich to poor, and how being wealthy is not everything. I would 100% recommend this book.

This book is very good, if you like magic and mystery you should try this! Holly Webb also writes animal stories if you like them.

This book was quite heavy going but it was worth it in the end. If you like to read mystery and magic books, you will like this book.

I like this series of books mainly because of the setting- a richly described world of magic and water. The plot is also quite interesting- an evil mask? What next? I like how Colette goes from being very poor to very rich and prefers poor- that's not something you see very often, but it feels realistic and natural. And I love Max the cat...

I recommend this book for all age's above 4 this book is amazing for anybody who is into fantasy ,magic and thrilling adventures this book is about a little girl called Colette. She lives with her mum. She makes pretty dresses for wealthy women in Venice.But Colette never knew about her father but her mum wouldn't say a word about it.Whenever she thinks about her father she always feels a tingle of magic through her. she finds the truth he father is a famous maskmaker and a powerful magician.
