Very good - great I have the series now (I have returned the library books finally too!) because if you read one you'll want to read the whole series.

I would recommend this book to children because it is an adventurous book. The steampunk pirates are made out of metal and tin. After a successful haul from the blue Navy ship, Captain Clockheart locked the treasure in the pantry and slipped the key into his pockets. At night the steampunk pirates celebrated on the successful haul they did later in the day. Pendle (the cabin boy) woke up to see a huge hole in the pantry, where the treasure had been kept. She peered through the hole to see the treasure gone.
