When Albie’s mum dies, it’s natural he should wonder where she’s gone. His parents are both scientists and they usually have all the answers. Dad mutters something about Albie’s mum being alive and with them in a parallel universe.
So Albie finds a box, his mum’s computer and a rotting banana, and sends himself through time and space to find her…

This book was really good. I loved it and couldn’t put it down. I could really sense the characters emotions. This book is probably for 9+, and anyone who likes magic/ science

i absolutely loved this book! when i read it i truly felt like i was getting lost in one of albie's parallel universes. it is one of those books which just pulls you closer and closer, every night my mum would read me a chapter of this book and she left me begging for one more! i was devastated when we finished the book but i was over the moon that albie finally found happiness, even without his mum. this book was about a little boy called albie who lost his mum and was absolutely heart-broken so he decided to create a little box that could travel him to different parallel universes, he first travelled to a world where he found an evil twin albie with his mum dead as well, next he travelled to a parallel universe where he was a girl! but she didn't have her mum either, next and last albie travelled to a universe where he had died as a baby and his mum was still alive, after that he found his way home to his dad and grandpa joe in his own universe. i think the moral of this story is that if someone you care for and love dies then its not the end of the story, its just the beginning of a new chapter.
