I love this book because it’s a lot of fun, adventurous and addictive to read, I always want to read more. My favourite character is Nicholas because he’s very brave and kind to the elves he finds. I would definitely recommend this book because it’s a lot of fun to read.

This book was comical yet has got upsetting bits, but still amazing. My favourite character was Nikolas because he stayed optimistic throughout the story which is a good attitude to have. He also carried on even though life was hard for him. I would recommend it as it is comical and will make you laugh, HARD!

It is a story that proves that nothing is impossible. If you are one of those people who believe that some things are impossible, you should put this book down right away. It is most certainly not for you. Because this book is FULL of impossible things. A tale of adventure, snow, kidnapping, elves, more snow, and an eleven-year-old boy called Nikolas, who isn't afraid to believe in magic.

The book was slightly sad but it was also a really nice Christmassy book. I liked that at the beggining it showed how st Nicolas's life began from when he was around ten years old .

This is a great book! I loved it! It is about the life of Father Christmas as a boy called Nikolas. When Nikolas's father goes to see if elves are real with some other men and if he and the others capture one they will get loads of money. Nikolas howether doesn't know their going to capture the elves, he just thinks they're going to look for them. So Nikolas is stuck with his horrible Aunt Carlotta. Nikolas finally decides that he has to escape his horrible aunt and go and see his father where he soon discovers elves. My favourite character is Sebastian the troll, (the next bit is also my favourite part) he gets stuck in elf prison with Nikolas and the Truth Pixie and he says that he won't eat Nikolas on Christmas Day but Nikolas shall be eaten the next day. Nikolas makes a narrow escape of being eaten by stealing one of the Truth Pixie's hewlip leaf (makes your mind explode, literally!) he puts the leaf in the troll's mouth as Sebastian is lifting him up and preparing to eat him. The troll's brain is about to explode but the Truth Pixie is just standing watching in excitement if the brain exploded the Truth Pixie would be blown back by the brain and die! So Nikolas quickly jumps on the Truth Pixie to get her out the way, then the brain exploded and the Truth Pixie was safe. The Truth Pixie suddenly became in love with Nikolas. This is a great book! Five out of five stars!

This is a very good book. It is a really nice story about a very poor boy called Nikolas who leaves home to find elves. It is a bit sad at some parts but it is still a really good story and I liked it a lot. I think you would like this book if you like books about magic and magical creatures and if you like adventure stories. It is a good book to read at Christmas!

I love this book because it is really interesting and exiting and when you get in to a good bit of the book you can not put it down. I would recommend this book for people who love christmas and really like reading things about christmas. It has lots of different creatures that are very well described in the text. Read this book at christmas and you will be ready for christmas to come!
