Anyone But Ivy Pocket
Caleb Krisp, John Kelly
Ivy Pocket is a twelve-year-old maid with the natural instincts of a wartime Prime Minister. Or at the very least, a lighthouse keeper. For the princely sum of £500, Ivy has agreed to courier the Duchess of Trinity’s most precious possession – the Clock Diamond – from Paris to England, and to put it around the neck of the revolting Matilda Butterfield on her twelfth birthday.
Acquiring bosom friends and instant enemies as she goes, it’s not long before Ivy finds herself at the heart of a conspiracy involving mischief, mayhem and murder.
Illustrated in humorous gothic detail by John Kelly, Anyone But Ivy Pocket is just the beginning of one girl’s deadly comic journey to discover who she really is …
Reviews

It was a brilliant book to read ,full of twists and adventure but I thought Ivy should have been more careful in trusting Mrs. Always.

I thought that this book was suspenseful and encapturing, it fascinated me and I would always be asking to finish the page before I did something else. One time, it turned into me finishing the book and I didn`t want to finish it because it was too good. I liked Ivy Pocket the best because she was the most unique charecter from any other books I have read. I would recommend it to people in the same age group as me because it seems that many young kids wouldn`t understand it and older kids would think it too babyish as they would know that all the events are fake, so I think that this age is the best to read it at. Also, I think that the part in which she is travelling should be more detailed as the ship`s interior is very vague and it doesn`t really give much scenery.

Great book. Slightly confusing at times I thought but possibly others will feel differently. Apart from that it is wonderful and it provides you with lots of times were you can come up with your own theories. great for kids aged 8-13
