Ellie is fed up. Her Dad is never at home, and now he’s going on tour to Germany without her! He’s in a band called The Day Trippers and is always travelling; playing silly gigs for people who really should be more sensible at their age. Ellie loves music too, especially playing guitar with her dad, but The Day Trippers are just not cool anymore! Ellie and her big sister, Rachel, know the perfect thing to stop them from feeling lonely and to tempt Dad home to them – they’ll get a family dog from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home! Rocky the Rottweiler is quite a handful, and he just won’t stop chewing everything in sight. But when Ellie gets lost on Rachel’s birthday trip, Rocky proves he’s more than just a naughty puppy. He’s a star!

This is a fictional book, and my favourite animal was Rocky. It is inspired by a a rottweiler dog called Star. I absolutely love it and I would recommend this to anyone who LOVES dogs, and it is by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. I rate it 4/5 PAWSOME!!!!

I love this book! I can relate to it because I really want a dog for my birthday! I would recommend this book the anyone who loves animals or pets or both! It is a fiction book but is inspired by a real dog. This book interested me because I love dogs!!!

i liked rachel the best and the funniest part to me was when rocky ran of with the kite and Ellie ran of after rocky i liked it but not my favourite i would recommend this book if you like cute puppies but actually supports a dog in real life called star who like sitting on laps and dislikes fireworks Ellie and Rachel got the puppy for her birthday but she shared it with Ellie. Rachel loves to read she reads a lot she did a bit of writing and drawing when herds gave her a note pad with dogs on it to rite a song for his band he came home early for Rachels birthday but most of all his lead singer lost his voice he decided to stop the tour because he was getting to old Rachel rote a song about a dog who stole a kite like rocky

Read this book because it gets your emotions going. Most children who do not have a pet would adore the main character Rocky in this book.

I liked Rocky's fur because it reminds me of my soft toy paw print. It was funny when Rocky ran off with the tea towel and the girls chaised him.
