Boy In The Tower
Polly Ho-Yen
When they first arrived, they came quietly and stealthily as if they tip-toed into the world when we were all looking the other way. Ade loves living at the top of a tower block. From his window, he feels like he can see the whole world stretching out beneath him. His mum doesn’t really like looking outside – but it’s going outside that she hates. She’s happier sleeping all day inside their tower, where it’s safe. But one day, other tower blocks on the estate start falling down around them and strange, menacing plants begin to appear. Now their tower isn’t safe anymore. Ade and his mum are trapped and there’s no way out…
Reviews

Boy In The Tower is a wonderful book full of adventure and mystery. The best part ijs that he gets reunited with his best friend, Gaia.

This book is about a boy and his mum who get stuck in their tower block and the towers around them that are falling because of strange plants growing up them.

I loved this book. It was interesting because the plants were breaking all the towers but if they went near the salt, they died. The Bluchers were blue and silver and it was interesting how someone thought of putting salt everywhere and they escaped in a helicopter to Brighton. Ade, the boy in the tower was who I liked best. Yes I would recommend this book.
