But she has to wear an ugly, uncomfortable back brace for the next four years. And she’s convinced that it will put an end to normal teenage life – including her blossoming relationship with Buddy Brader . . .

My favourite character was definitely Deenie because she was so brave even when she was diagnosed with scoliosis. I would recommend this book to people who like other Judy Blume books. People who are 12+ would like this.

I really loved this book about a girl called Deenie who had managed to find away to get around her challenge that got thrown at her. Would recommend this book !!!

I give this book a 4 but almost a 5. It was a fiction book and I found the end disappointing because nothing actually good happened. I like a happily ever after. The only reason I have not given this book 5 days is because it was not clear to me in what year this book was set. It spoke about washing your mouth out with soap and spoke about kissing with braces on.

I have read this book before but I enjoyed it so much I wanted to read it again! It is about a girl called deenie who wants to be a model when she grows up. But once she has been to lots of Docters about her posture she finds out that she has scoliosis and she has to were a brace for four years!

Really great book, I recommend it to anyone. One of those books you read a numerous amount of times. Really amazing. Never gets boring. Once I pick it up I read it till the end. I could go on for ages about it. Kids will love it, one of my personal favourites. Lie in bed with a copy of Deenie. My idea of a holiday! Lovely characters. I congratulate this book.

I think you should read this book because it is a inspirational read for 12 and overs. I would definitely recommend it
