Thank you so much for asking me if I needed help this Christmas. What a kind girl you are! As a matter of fact I do. My smallest reindeer is not very well, and needs someone to make him better before Christmas Eve. Starlight guides my sleigh through the night sky, so without him, I won’t be able to deliver any presents. Go down to the shed at the bottom of your garden and you will find him.

An amazing christmassy book about a small girl who was asked by Santa Claus to look after his most important reindeer called Starlight. I thought this book was brilliant and intriguing

Lucy loves animals. She wrote a letter to Santa asking if he needed any help. Lucy found a baby reindeer in her shed that Santa asked her to look after. Lucy and her brother Oscar discovered that the reindeer needed love and cuddles to get better. Santa takes Lucy abd Oscar fir a ride on his sleigh. Lucy gets a kitten for Christmas which is what she hoped for.

“ Dear Santa, I would love a real life cat this Christmas. And if you need any help please ask. From Lucy.” Lucy is asked to look after a reindeer for Santa. She must get it well again for Christmas Eve but nothing is working. Can Lucy get Starlight better for Christmas Eve? Or was it a mistake to ask Lucy to look after the special guide reindeer… I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who has just started reading independently as it is well thought out, fun and shows how to look after animals. A brilliant book.

I thought that this book was awesome. I think that Lucy did a great job of getting Starlight better but she defintiely couldn't do it without Oscar. It is actually surprising that Oscar sent a letter to Sanat when he called Lucy a baby for doing that. At least Santa was always good, kind and jolly and saw the good even in Oscar. It was alos really very funny because she kpet having to lie, saying that she was doing a huge surprise and then the Mum and the Dad thought that their gifts were the huge surprise. My favourite charcter is Lucy because she got Starlight better in time for Christmas. She saved Christmas. Starlight still plays a very important role, guiding Santa to all the houses. IMagine if someone else got Merry because Lucy hadn't manaed to make Starlight better. That would definitely be awful. I reccomend this book to everyone as it is awesome and amazing and will keep you reading. I couldn't take my eyes off this book!

I used to read this when I was little I read it again and it’s full of Christmas magic! A little girl called Lucy has been asked to look after Santa’s smallest reindeer, Starlight who is ill. But will Lucy make starlight better before Christmas Eve? My favourite character was of course Lucy she has a such a kind heart. I would recommend this to children age 5-8 and for young children looking for a Christmas adventure!!

I like Lucy’s secret reindeer because it makes you feel guilty about things you know you shouldn’t have done. My favourite character is Lucy because she is kind and fun.

I loved this book because it was an easy read and had good pictures up the wiring, the reindeer is very cute.

Lucy's brother Oscar doesn't believe in Father Christmas and says that Lucy is silly to write to him. When Lucy writes to Father Christmas she asks if he needs any help so he sends her a reindeer that's not very well for her to look after. She has to keep it a secret but her brother Oscar finds her with Starlight and helps her look after Starlight so that he can guide the sleigh. They are woken up one night by the sounds of sleigh bells and go on a magical ride with Father Christmas in his sleigh when he's on a test flight. I loved this book - I really hope there are some more.

if you are an animal lover, you should like this book. Its a bit easy though because it hasn't got much writing in it.
