Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret
Judy Blume
Read the hilarious coming-of-age classic! Judy Blume’s Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret is now a major film starring Rachel McAdams and Abby Ryder Fortson.
Meet Margaret. She’s going through all the same things most teenage girls have to face; fitting in, friendship and first bras.
Life isn’t easy for Margaret. She’s moved away from her childhood home, she’s starting a new school, finding new friends – and she’s convinced she’s not normal.
For a start she hasn’t got a clue whether she wants to be Jewish like her father or Christian like her mother. Everyone else seems really sure of who they are.
And, worst of all, she’s a ‘late developer’. She just knows that all her friends are going to need a bra before she does. It’s too embarrassing to talk to her parents about these things.
So she talks to God instead – and waits for an answer . . .

I loved this book and I have also the film twice so I could predict everything but it was still very good. I like a lot of Judy Blume books like the Fudge series. The book but was a bit different from the film so I think I liked the film better but the book had more description in it.

The girls were a bit weird but funny with the club they made up. I would recommend to other girls.

This book was okay. It was different from the types of books that I usually read. It is good how the book talks about some of the things girls face during puberty.

I absolutely loved this book! It informs young girls (and boys too if they want to know about it) about growing up, and the relatable and challenging story of the main character, Margaret. The book is funny and light hearted, definitely recommend!

Margaret is starting sixth grade and there are lots of new challenges to come, for instance, more friends, more responsibility, and more adventures. With friends by your side, anything is possible. This book is all about the power of friendship and good times!

Great book for 11-12 year olds. Covers topics that are not usually covered. My favourite character would be Margaret, the main character who the books perspective is by. Highly recommend this book!!

Margaret and her parents move house and Margaret soon befriends a girl who lives on her street, Nancy. Nancy is part of a club which Margaret joins, where there are only two other other members (Gretchen and Janie): The PTS. Luckily for Margaret, they are all people you can tell your secrets to: first bra, first period, first kiss. But can Margaret really trust them?
