A beautifully illustrated picture book that brings the legend of the mysterious outlaw Robin Hood to life for little children. Robin makes a daring raid on the castle of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in order to rescue the prisoners held inside. Specially rewritten for young children, the story features well-known characters including Maid Marian, Friar Tuck and, of course, Robin Hood himself!

This is a story about Jack who gets his father in trouble because he threw muck at the Sheriff of Nottingham. Jack runs away and meets Robin Hood, and the other outlaws in the forest. They showed Jack how to fight. But the outlaws were captured by the Sheriff’s soldiers. Robin and Jack creep into the castle to rescue them, and get caught. Then Marian and the villagers arrive to help fight the Sheriff’s men. They freed the outlaws and Jack’s father. The King arrived and Robin and the outlaws slipped away. I liked this book but it was a bit scary.

I like Robin Hood and his dad best. I would recommend it. I would like to read a version for older children.

I like it because the story is about robin hood trying to help others. He helped Jack to get his dad back. And when the sheriff group tried to capture rest of his gang and they tried to fight with him but they lost.
