It was a good book. My favourite character was violet the shrinking girl. Her grandma won a competition to go to Eygpt and there was lots of plot twists in the story. We couldn’t put the book down we just had to keep reading.

Violet's Gran finishes a crossword correctly and wins a trip to Egypt to ride on a boat called the Cleopatra. It was very good all the way through. My favourite character was Violet because she was the main character. I would read more of her adventures and recommend it to anybody who likes fiction books about Ancient Egypt.

It took me a while to get into this book but once I got into the middle it became very exciting because Violet suddenly shrank and found out that the calendar sisters and professor Gus (August) were stealing precious things.

I love this book! It’s interesting and has lots of mystery’s. My mum read it to and she loved it and she want to know who took Ozzie the cat.i really liked the ending as well

This book is really really interesting and I really like the ending cus it has a plot twist. So at the end of the book violet figures something really exciting out. So Violet and her cousin both have a shrinking power so they can shrink, this came in handy. Two old ladies and their brother( who prented to be a an arceoligist) were actually theives and stealing acient artifacts. It was fiction and i would recommened it to everyone who loves an adventure but at the same time a lovibale and shocking unexpected plot twist. My favourite character is definately violet because she is very smart and adventurous just like me. Lou Kuenzler is the author of this book and she is my favourite author of all time. Yay.

WOW! I love Egypt. Also I always wanted to go. On my birthday I went and explored around and saw fascinating ancient things. I was quite shocked to see whats it like in the ancient times. Violet was really happy to enter the contest.
