this is about a girl called Jessica in year six, her brother is Ryan, their dog is called Lady, her best friend is Natalie, her frenemy that becomes her friend is Amelia (they become friends over Harriet Jones ~Vanderk), both Jesses and Amelias enemy is Harriet Vanderk who is Jesses neighbour, the Comic club thing is made up of four people, Tanya Harris who went to being a school bully turn into a business child, Lewis, Jess and Joshua. and other people are in the book. The school are doing a play and Jess and Amelia and Harriet and others are set designing and Joshua Tanya and Natalie are actors. the actors are so worried about their words so they take a lot of time to practice them but not a lot on other things

It reminds me of my experiences at school. Its a great book and I definitely recommend it to older children(y5-y6)

Jessica can't wait to tell Tanya, Josh and Natalie her new comic idea. Not that she's and absolute genius or anything... her friends are to busy concentrating on the school musical, The Wizard Of Oz, to listen. Actors! Jessica loves art so is doing the scenery with Harriet VanDerk and Amelia. They both fall out over a pot of YELLOW PAINT. Will Jessica eventually find that Amelia is a good friend?
