It was descriptive and emotional. I enjoyed the end, it was satisfying and I liked them looking out across the world.

This book is an exciting, adventurous book about a boy named Aubrey who can communicate with animals. He has to do this to save his dad who is in danger because he is being controlled by the terrible yoot. At the end of this book there is an unexpected twist about the yoot. Is he so terrible after all? I would definitely recommend this book to people who are into adventurous books and books about animals.

Aubrey is a good boy whose dad falls under a horrendous spell from the terrible yoot! Aubrey goes on a quest to stop the terrible yoot and finds out that he isn't as terrible. He lives in a different world. He really is a very lovely beautiful beetle but when he goes to Aubrey's world, everything he says sounds horrible and rude. My favourite bit is when Aubrey goes to the desert of misfortune because that is where the Yoot lives and teaches him to be nice and he makes friends with Esmerelda.

This is a great book to read, very funny and it makes you think. The storyline is very clever and, although it is complicated, the author makes it easy to understand. Overall, this is a great book and I would recommend reading it.

I enjoyed this book but I have read some that I have enjoyed more but that was because it was a fantasy book which I would not normally read. I would recommend this book to anyone who is passionate about animals and also they need to be a good reader because there were some complicated words.

A really good book. This would be better for older readers because of the topics it covers.

This book is a very mysterious book and I would recommend it to children 8 and above because in a few ways it is a bit creepy. The reason I have rated this book 4 stars is because the front cover looks dark and there's not enough color on it and that Horatio Clare should have made it a bit more exciting.Apart from that it is an amazing book.
