It’s still not too late to change your mind about reading this information. Stop looking now. Please. Dear Customer, Like the previous tapes in A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, there is nothing to be found in this narration but misery, despair and discomfort. This time, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire encounter a darkened staircase, a red herring, some friends in a dire situation, three mysterious initials, a liar with an evil scheme, a secret passageway and parsley soda. I have sworn to record these tales of the Baudelaire orphans so the general public will know each terrible thing that has happened to them, but if you decide to listen to something else instead you will save yourself from a heapful of horror and woe. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket

This is a great book. Full of red herrings and massive mysteries. I love this book more than anyone else.

It was really good. The twist at the end was really surprising; although it was a little obvious. I was happy that Jerome was the only nice guardian who didn't die.

I really loved this book.i really like it because it has so many twists and turns. my favourite character is Klaus. my favourite bit is were they find duncan and isadora in the cage at the bottom of the false elevator. i think that violet is dumb in that bit not to let the quagmire twins tell her the secret of V.F.D. then. i also like the bit where the in auction takes place, and all the red herrings. i also like that esme turned out to be bad, and shoved them down the ersatz elevator. i also really like the description of the crowd getting tangled up together at the end.i think that this is one of my favourite books in the series so far!

I would give this book more stars if I could! I love how the Baudelaires try to rescue the Quigmires although Count Olaf took them away.

I rate this 3 stars as it was as engaging as Lemony Snicket's other books, however, it doesn't have the exact mystery and excitement included in the previous books.

I love this book and I don't have to look at the dictionary for the words I don't know; the book explains it all!

In this sixth book the Baudelaires are moved to yet another home with new guardians,Jerome and Esme. They are a couple that live on Dark Avenue on the 84th or 48th floor and Esme loves things that are “in” and hates things that are “out”.When the Baudelaires arrived stairs were “in” and elevators were “out” so the Baudelaire orphans had to climb all the way up 84 or 48 floors to the top floor penthouse but poor Sunny had to crawl. My favourite character was Sunny because of the way she acts like an adult even though she is still an infant.

lots of twists

I thought that hiding the quagmires in the big fish statue was a very good idea and I also thought that Esme did a good job at fooling Violet Klaus and sunny.

I enjoyed this book as it was action packed, full of adventure and had a lot of tricking in it I didn't really have a favourite character it interests me because normally everyone gets tricked except the Baudaulaire orphans because even they got tricked definitely recommend this book.

I absolutely loved the book and I have never read a book like this. As well as having nice adoring bits it has some cliffhangers.

This was probably the best book out of the series so far. This was an exciting and mysterious book by Lemony Snicket about the three Baudelaire orphans yet again trapped in Count Olaf’s twisted plan to steal not only the Baudelaire orphans fortune but the orphans friends fortune as well, the Quagmire sapphires! I would give this book to an child age 8+.
