A heartwarming canine adventure series for boys and girls aged 6+. Perfect for fans of Holly Webb and Michael Morpurgo.

This is the story of one brave dog’s journey home. Rascal is hot and thirsty, and still miles from his owner Joel. The woods are tinder-dry, and when careless campers start a forest fire, Rascal must fight to save not only himself, but a frightened and lost little girl. Packed with entertaining illustrations from James De La Rue. Fans of Morpurgo’s Shadow will love this. Have you collected all of Rascal’s adventures? Rascal: Lost in the Caves Rascal: Trapped on the Tracks Rascal: Running for his Life Rascal: Facing the Flames Rascal: Swept Beneath the Waters Rascal: Racing Against Time Chris Cooper is the pen name of Paul Shipton, who grew up in Manchester and went to university in Cambridge. I loved reading this book because Rascal the dog saves a little girl from flames. He also helped the fireman save the girls dad. Rascal is a hero. He is determined to get home to Joel. I have already recommended it to my friend. She has another Rascal adventure and we are going to swap next time we go to the library to return our books.

Rascal continues on his journey home. He meets Hailey and saves her and her family from a forest fire. When the fire is shown on the news, Joel spots Rascal and knows that he is still alive and on his way back home!!
