Ellie Haines despairs of her family. Her younger brother is so desperate to be on TV he’s tried everything from sending films of his hamster to SpringwatchLive to auditioning Mum for Looking Good Naked (urgh!). Mum appears to be going through some kind of midlife crisis and Dad’s bad ‘yolks’ have reached alarming new ‘egg-stremes’.
The only bright spots in Ellie’s life are her naughty kitten, Kitkat, and her best mate, Mads. But when Mads and Ellie apply for The Junior Cake Off, their friendship soon starts to crumble. It doesn’t help that the gorgeous Ted Watson has caught Mads’s eye, too . . .

I liked this book because it is about one of my dreams to become a baker . My favourite character in this book is Ellie haines because I think she is just like me not that confident at the start but at the end of the book she is very confident band wins the competition. i would recomend this book to anyone who has a passion for baking.

The Great Kitten Cake Off is a really good book for anyone who likes baking and cats. My favourite character is Ellie because she believes in herself all the way through the book. It has a great storyline and has a selection of characters. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

I thought it was a amazing and a fantastic book to read. My favourite person was KitKat because I like what happens about her in the book and because she looks so cute. My favourite part was everything it interested me in everything I would recommend it to someone else.

I really enjoyed this book because, it was quick to read and on every page it had a new twist or surprise. It involved baking, which is one of my favorite hobbies. I think that this is a book for anyone who likes friendship and/ or baking.
