I liked this book because the beast is a shadow hound. I enjoyed this because Tom's mother was in the book. I also liked that there was a jewel and that Tom can separate his body from its shadow. I would recommend this book.

In the story, Tom sneaks in a pirate's ship . Jeng's dog gets infected by Kensa . Tom hits Kanis in the side . After Tom hits Kanis, the dog lost his tooth.

My favourite character is Elenna because she is brave and she has purple hair. Elenna and Tom try to defeat the shadow hound. Tom twists his belt button and his shadow comes out of him and walks through a wall to try and not defeat Kanis. That is an exciting part of the book that I like.

My favorite character in this book was Tom. Tom is a knight who fought many beasts which is why i like him. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fighting. I think it was a very dangerous book.

I think this book is great as it has a hound that is terrifying, but at first, he was only a sweet dog until the evil witch Kensa turned it into a monster of a beast with the power to turn itself into a shadow! My favourite character is Tom the main character who fights the beasts. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes dogs.

This about Tom facing a pirate on a flying pirate ship, and he goes to face Emperor Jeng, Kensa Sanpao and Kanis (who is a third dog, a third wolf and a third shadow!)! This book was fun and interesting.
