I thought it was a fiction book. If it was a fiction book I would like Victoria Sponge because she transformed the cake into a cake with a palace on top instead of a strawberry. I would recommend this book to Lacie because she likes magic.

It was a nice book. I would recommend it some somebody around the age of 8. My favourite characters were Talia because she could stand up for herself and for her friends and Victoria Sponge because she could use magic and she was very comforting.

I quite liked this book because I love to cook.My favourite character was Victoria Sponge because she always helped Ellie and Basil when they needed it most.I would recommend this book to 8 year old children.

I like how Ellie’s cake did not go to plan but she tried and didn’t give up and when she gave it to Talia and Talia loves it!

I liked Ellie best because she’s the main character. Ellie tried to make a cake perfect for a birthday and it was her first party. She thought she hadn’t been invited but her family hid the invitation so she couldn’t go. I liked it because it teaches you lots of things like not to be mean. Her cake wasn’t perfect but no one noticed. That teaches you not to be worried about small things.

I really love this book. It is sad when they say about that Ellie has never been to a birthday party and, that her awful cousin (Colin) calls her a shrimp! Also it is amazing how Ellie and Basil (her best friend) bake so much stuff in just one day. I have just read Ellie's magical bakery Brilliant Birthday Bakes. I am rating it 5-5 and I recommend it to all children. Go read it!
