The Terrible Two
Mac Barnett, Jory John, Kevin Cornell
Miles Murphy is not happy to be moving to Yawnee Valley, a sleepy town that’s famous for one thing and one thing only: cows. In his old school, everyone knew him as the town’s best prankster, but Miles quickly discovers that Yawnee Valley already has a prankster, and a great one. If Miles is going to take the title from this mystery kid, he is going to have to raise his game. It’s prankster against prankster in an epic war of trickery, until the two finally decide to join forces and pull off the biggest prank ever seen: a prank so huge that it would make the members of the International Order of Disorder proud. In The Terrible Two, bestselling authors and friends Mac Barnett and Jory John have created a series that has its roots in classic middle-grade literature yet feels fresh and new at the same time. Advance Praise for The Terrible Two: “A double helping of fun and mischief!”—Jeff Kinney, author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series “The pranks, the brotherhood, the art, the heart! What’s not to love about The Terrible Two?”—Sara Pennypacker, author of the Clementine series “You don’t have to be a cow, like cows, or even know a cow to love The Terrible Two.”—Dave Eggers “This book is terrible! Terribly funny, terribly full of pranks, and terribly wonderful.”—Jon Scieszka, author of The Stinky Cheese Man and the Frank Einstein series “The Terrible Two are my kind of kids. And what’s more, they’re kids’ kind of kids.”—Annie Barrows, author of the Ivy & Bean series “Hilarious.”—Dav Pilkey, author of the Captain Underpants series
Reviews

I really enjoyed this book because it was a story about enemies becoming friends. The book was very interesting and the fictional aspect of the book was fun and imaginative. My favourite character is Principal Barkin because he is always angry and turns purple a lot. The description of the characters was amazing and boosted the the illustrations. My favourite picture is Miles' shoebox prank of Principal Barkin showering.

It was quite an interesting book as Niles doesn't turn out to be a goodie goodie geek. I'm pretty glad that Niles got to be the prankster in school after all. I liked Niles best as he is very smart and cunning. I would recommend it to every child who likes reading!

Very VERY funny I would definitely recommend reading this book. The best part is at the end, not that I'll spill the beans...

Its been a really long time since I've been on this website so a lot of books I've read i havnt recorded on here. This book I've most recently finished and I would recommend it although it is a bit short (the first book is only 218 pgs long) so I think its best if you read the whole series to get the full experience (there are 3 books in the series; The TerribleTwo, The TerribleTwo Get Worse and The Terrible Two's Last laugh). Its about a boy called miles who moves into the area and was known at his old school as being the prankster, he loved pranking but when he arrives at school on his first day miles is disappointed to find that this school already had a prankster a rlly good prankster but that no-one knew about! Who-ever this prankster was they were like a phantom prankster, a secret prankster, an invisible prankster! He meets the school helper called niles who he thinks is the classic snobby, suck up, snitch until he finds out who he rlly is. I am currently half way through the second book and will post a review of that up too when I've finished it. Overall I think its a good series and I'd probably recommend it for the age group of 6-11 but it rlly depends on the kind/ability ect of the reader.

I liked this book because I love how they work together and prank the head teacher. I think the head teacher is really funny. I didn’t like all the cow facts. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to laugh and anyone that likes cows
