I thought it was going to be a happy story but it turned out to be a bit of a sad story. My favourite characters were the boy's neighbours because they were very thoughtful. It interested me because i like books that are a little bit grown up. I would recommend it to everyone who likes happy endings!

Boy in the tower is a very gripping, sad and interesting book I was glued to the book in no time because of its great descriptions and characters. At some points, it felt like I was in the book!

This has become one of my favourite books. Although I don't like them doing the killing, this book is really exciting. When Ade is trapped in the tower, it makes me wonder if he'll ever get out. Dory is my favourite character, because she is really kind to everyone else in the story. I like Pigeon too. My favourite part is when Ade is trapped and all he can do is watch TV, because it makes me wonder how long he and his mum are able to survive in the tower. There is one thing that I still want to know about though, which is what happened to Cicely, Obi's wife. There is a lot of death in this book, but I think if you are old enough you will be able to understand it all. I would definitely recommend this book to people, especially 10-12s.
