This book is all about world war 2 and Anne’s mother and father get killed and she has to move countries from Germany to Australia. There are sad parts but there is a happy ending.

This book was written in a formal way as Anne talked about her life in hiding and the poor conditions they were in.It really made me think about my life and makes people who read this book grateful for what they have. I think both boys and girls would enjoy this book but it is best for people who like reading long books about history.
