Pippi Longstocking my favourite character, is an adventurous, peculiar and brave nine year old, who lives alone in Villa Cula cottage. She has a pet monkey called Nelson and a horse which she carries in her arms. Pippi is a hilarious character and l thoroughly adore her. With her unlimited strength Pippi enjoys many adventures with her two best friends Tommy and Annika. This fun filled book includes catching an escaped tiger buying all the sweets in a sweet shop, going on a school trip, and getting shipwrecked for the weekend. But even though Pippi enjoys all the extraordinary adventures with her two best friends will she leave them, when her long lost father is ready to take her out to sea.. This book is a rollercoaster of never ending laughs and fun. My favourite part was definitely when Pippi shows the ruffian who is boss, she shows bravery and teaches everyone not to let a bully get in your way. I have reread this book a million times and have always used it to cheer me up. I would give this book six stars if l could, it will teach you friendship, loyalty and empathy for others.

I didn't enjoy this very much but I don't know why. Probably because I like funny books and this was not a funny book.

Pippi is the strongest person in the world. Her father drowned apparently, and her mother we don’t know but Pippi can look after herself. Pippi is on an adventure! Again. What this time? Can Pippi get going and make it correct? Or is this the end for Pippi… I would certainly recommend this book as it is well thought out, fun and exciting. A brilliant book.
