My book was fiction and I did not really have a favourite character. I don't know why I like this book but I have liked it since I was little and I have made great memories reading it with my Dad.

I liked that the shoemaker made the elves some shoes and clothes to keep them warm, to say thank you for their help. It is a good book to read to my little sister, which I did, but not enough happens for me to give it a higher score.

This is a well loved tale. the wife and the shoe maker are very poor but in the end they become rich. I loved the way they described the characters and the way things happened. My favourite bit was the wife and husband hiding watching the elves at work. The heart of the story is that things happened continuously throughout the story. Its a magical story and lots would like it.

I like this book because it is about a poor woman and a man but they get rich with the help of some little elves. They repay the elves with fine clothes but they never see them again - I wonder why?
