There was such a rich casket of words and Lyra faces challenge after challenge to get to the place where the so-called "Gobblers" were holding children and their Daemons and helps everyone escape.

I really loved this book. It is about a girl called Lyra Belaqua, who lives in Oxford, but in a different dimension, who goes on a big adventure. I would recommend it for 10+, because it has tricky words, and is almost 400 pages long, and also may be scary for younger children.
