Are the rumours true? Could Laney Rivers really be a faerie? Laney thinks she is just a normal girl of twelve. Until she learns the truth. One night, she realises secrets about herself that she didn't know existed- she is a faerie, part of the Mist tribe. Suddenly she finds she can make strange things happen: a river turn red, rain come from the sky and all sorts of other extraordinary things. But Laney's powers could have been realised too late and all sorts of evil faeries are out to get her. With the help of her new friends, Claudia and Fletcher, and her new-found skills, she has to find a way to defeat them- and fast!
